Join us for another installment of our exciting Trail Talk Series where you'll hear from local experts who will share their knowledge and expertise related to the Tahoe Rim Trail - from things that live here to how to plan your next adventure, our speakers will ignite your passion for Tahoe!

Join us at the Reno REI this March to learn how to take that first step and the thousands after it in relative comfort and safety on your journey to completing the Tahoe Rim Trail. Expert guides from the Tahoe Rim Trail Association will be there to give you advice, tips and answer all your questions, to help you tackle the TRT.

Have you ever wondered how Lake Tahoe was formed, why there are so many alpine lakes around here, or what all those strange rock formations are? Dave Schnake, a Tahoe Rim Trail Association Board Member and Crew Leader, and trained geologist and geochemist, will be at the El Dorado County Library in South Lake Tahoe on Tuesday, April 25, from 6-8pm to give you the low down on Tahoe geology, answer all your hard questions, and maybe even tell you about those weird rocks.
