NOTE: Registering for this event DOES NOT register you for a NWTD snowshoe hike! If you plan on participating in a NWTD snowshoe hike, please register seperately for the hike you wish to participate in.
Description: National Winter Trails Day is a nationwide event that promotes and introduces people to outdoor winter recreation in a fun and safe manner. In support of this, the TRTA and our community partnering companies and organizations have scheduled a day of FREE snow related activities and presentations along with six different guided snowshoe hikes on themes ranging from winter wildlife survival, to natural history, to a look at the social and economic values we place on wilderness and Tahoe's logging history. Be sure to register seperately for the NWTD hike you want and bring your snowshoes (a limited supply of snowshoes will be available for participant use).
