Daggett Reroute Project Please join us Tuesdays and Saturdays in June and July on the South Shore of the Lake for the Daggett Reroute Project. We will be building new trail to complete the Daggett North East Loop! More info - Register! |
A Tahoe Rim Trail Tradition! (2-3 day projects):
For certain projects that require a longer drive or walk to the work site or that will require several days of work the Tahoe Rim Trail Association will schedule Backcountry Camps. These two to three day camps are a family friendly and extremely fun way to spend a weekend. Get out, sleep under the stars, enjoy fantastic camp food, and give back to the Tahoe Rim Trail. For a successful camp we need all different types of volunteers including trail workers to build trail, camp logistics coordinators to help staff organize all of the camp gear and food, a camp chef to lead our menu planning and orchestrate meals, and camp cooks to help prepare meals at camp. Again no experience necessary!

Dates for 2013 Backcountry Camps: August 2-4, 2013 |

Build your team and give back to the community you serve! Schedule a group workday for your office, community group, family, or class. The group that volunteers together stays together!

Additional Ways to Help! A little something for everyone.....
| Trailhead Monitors: Each Tahoe Rim Trail trailhead has a kiosk, stocked with TRTA brochures and segment maps for the public. With more than 100,000 users on the trail each year, we need volunteer assistance to keep this information readily available. If you live near a trailhead or pass by one regularly, please consider helping us out. Contact 775-298-0232 or email morganf@tahoerimtrail.org. Tree Clearing: Join the TRTA sawyers in "logging out" the Tahoe Rim Trail once the snow melts. Volunteers clear hundreds of downed trees each season to keep the trail safe and accessible to all users. Call 775-298-0232 or email morganf@tahoerimtrail.orgfor more information. Eagle Scout Projects: The TRTA is available to host Eagle Scout Projects. As required by BSA, the Eagle Candidate, in concert with parents and scoutmasters, will do the work to plan and organize the project from the scout side, including the project proposal and reporting paperwork as required by BSA. We will furnish tools, tools, helmets, communications, project permits, maps, forms for sign-in and parental permission, and technical supervision. These are fun projects in great areas. If interested, contact Clay Grubb by email or 949-795-8035 or Morgan Fessler by email or 775-298-0232. Submit a Trail Conditions Report: Let us know what you find out on the trail including fallen trees, overgrown sections and any other maintenance needs you see. Please provide us with information on the exact nature of the problem, the location in time or miles from a trailhead or other landmark and photos if possible. Click on the following link to use the TRT Assessment Form to report issues. |
