New Crew Leader Training - May 18-19, 2013
Learn what it takes to be a TRTA Crew Leader!
Description: This training will teach participants the basics of leading trail crews with the TRTA. Topics will include safety, volunteer leadership, trail layout and design concepts, emergency communications, and TRTA work day procedures and briefings, etc. On Saturday we will focus on the role of Crew Leaders and the important functions that must happen at each work day. Sunday will focus on trail building basics and design and layout concepts(classroom) followed by trail assessment. This course is focused on the leadership roles of a crew leader and not on how to build trail. It is designed for individuals that have some experience with trail work. We will not be building any trail during the course. Current TRTA crew leaders are welcome to attend as well for a refresher!

When: May 18th and 19th, 2013 (8:50am - 5:00pm) Saturday, May 18th, the TRTA will be hosting a BBQ for Crew Leaders and course participants at 5:30pm. This is not an overnight course. Where: DWR Building, 948 Incline Way, Incline Village, NV 89451 |

Cost: The registration cost for this training is $75. The course fees includes all course materials as well as lunch on Saturday and Sunday, snacks, and a BBQ on Saturday evening (optional). Course fees are due when registering. ($25 dollars of the registration fee is non-refundable. Individuals who cancel their registration before May 1st will receive $30.00 back. No registration fees will be refunded after May 1st).
Course Discounts: Volunteers who served with the TRTA in 2012 and TAMBA trail work volunteers can register for $50. Please contact Morgan Fessler for your discount registration code!
Scholarships are available for TRTA volunteers and members interested in becoming a TRTA crew leader! To request scholarship funds please contact Morgan Fessler.
