VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Thousands of volunteers built the Tahoe Rim Trail, and today, many of these same volunteers continue to support TRTA. We have hundreds of volunteers who are highly motivated, self-directed and passionate about building trail, leading hikes and outdoor educational programs, and ensuring that every person on the Tahoe Rim Trail has a safe trail experience.
As a volunteer, there are a number of ways in which you help the Tahoe Rim Trail Association. If you are interested in participating in any of the volunteer opportunities listed below, please contact Janice Barbour, Director of Development at janiceb@tahoerimtrail.org.

Host a Trail of Dreams event in your home
Here’s your chance to introduce your friends, family, and neighbors to the Tahoe Rim Trail at A one-hour informational event, Trail of Dreams, in your home.
Hold a fundraising event
Invite your friends, colleagues and family to your own fundraising party.
Organize a fundraising appeal
Are you running a marathon and want to raise money for the Tahoe Rim Trail Association? In lieu of gifts for your birthday or wedding, are you asking guests to make donations to the Tahoe Rim Trail?
Introduce the Tahoe Rim Trail Association to a foundation, a corporation, or a potential funder who might be interested in supporting our work
Do you have connections within a corporation or foundation that might be interested in funding our work? If so, contact us at (775) 298-0012, and one of our staff members will respond to you about the potential partnership.
Got some free time on your hands this summer? Retired and want to put your skills to use? Bursting with creative ideas? The TRTA needs YOU! We are looking for volunteers to help with our Annual Meeting on Saturday, September 25th, 2010 at Northstar-at-Tahoe Truckee, CA. We are in need of volunteers to help with set-up, break-down, greeting, registration, silent auction and much more.
