Winter Navigation Skills for Staying Found using Map and Compass
Join volunteer outdoorsman Bill Holt and the TRTA for a one day winter skills workshop. This class will be offered two times, starting with classroom time in the morning and outdoor navigation in the afternoon. Your map and compass will be provided, please bring lunch and winter clothing suitable for an afternoon of snowshoeing. The class will include: challenges of winter navigation, using a map to navigate, hands-on exercises, using compasses, and optional navigation with a GPS.
Dates: Saturday, February 20th and Saturday, March 6th
